04 Lug Mindfulness based relationship with animals
RIMINI, ITALY
The influence of our relationship with animals on their behavior, their well-being and their health has now been widely recognized by science.
But even knowing that in the balance of the human-animal system it is the human part that has a determining weight, we often continue to remain focused only on animals without noticing the dynamics that unite us, continuing to interpret things from our rational point of view distant from the animal’s feeling and without having the necessary tools to work effectively also on ourselves.
The mindfulness path with animals, which technically takes the name of Human-Animal Relationship Based on Mindfulness (Mindfulness-Based Human-Animal Relationship – MBHAR), is a path designed by Dr. Umberto Proietto to allow a new way to enter relationship with animals, developing empathy, intuition and deep connection with them while learning to take care of themselves too.
The experiential matrix of MBHAR is the same as Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), the stress reduction program recommended by the National Institute of Health of the United States and the United Kingdom, but appropriately integrating a whole series of principles active effective in changing a whole series of internal dynamics in our relationship with the animals we care about and developing new skills that allow us to access those innate natural resources capable of deepening, attentive and empathic our relationship towards each other animal species.
It is a gradual and progressive practical path, through which we can be guided towards greater awareness in moments in company with animals, experiencing directly on ourselves a new way of facing the experience with animals, opening new paths access to animal knowledge capable of making their experience with animals healthier, deeper and happier. Through MBHAR training, love for animals and the development of awareness create a virtuous circle capable of nurturing even a greater loving capacity for oneself. The development of a new relationship with oneself helps in turn to develop inner resources for a better relationship with animals.
Since mindfulness is an experience that emerges through practice, practice and experience lived on oneself play a central role during the entire MBHAR path.
All participants will be provided with home exercise sheets, in-depth readings and audio files for guided practices.
